Yhea I found some other pic and it’s hard to tell. I’m pretty sure the two machines can separate because it’s easier in term of production and logistic.

Anyway. It’s a luxurious product. It doesn’t matter.

It look like two units. There is a clear separation line between the two.

Just use libgen. Everybody does it.

Where I live such hotel would cost from 60 to 100€ a night. Hostel are closer to 30€.

Those shittpod are probably a bit more expensive than an hostel but its just an hotel nothing infuriating about that.

Those are just rebranded hostel… You can find the same stuff all over the world.

Average price they propose is 50$ a night. It’s probably on par with other hostel the city/location it’s in.

It’s interresting because in French (my native language) female is only ever used in it’s biological aspect and after such definition you can find in a dictionary :

“familiar, offensive : woman” source

An example would be : “Bob is really horny and is looking for a female/male”

So I always though that using female in a sentence was to reducing women to their reproductive dimensions.

But English is more complex. If i understand correctly female is valid as an adjective for persons “female/male friendship , female/male artist”. That would sounds really wrong in French if translated literally. And the noun in a dictionary is “formal : woman or girl”.

So to jump back on your comment, it’s all about context and usage. “Words politics” is a super interresting topics. At the moment, probably because of the internet, we observe over really short amount of time linguistic shift due to the usage by specific groups. Sometimes it is pretty easy to follow because the groups are large and divide society such as political orientation but sometimes it stem from obscure subculture such as incel here…

Change vpn service and get one with port forwarding which will increase your upload ;)

Music on console (moc) is a nice little music player software and less complex than mpd. You should give it a try if you like controlling stuff from the terminal.

I don’t really see the point of such laptop.

Most prototyping can be performed on a potato. Training complex models takes hours/days which seems incompatible with laptop usage : mobility.

I would personally buy $3000 of desktop/server, $300 refurbished thinkpad/dell and put the rest in a screen, keyboard, etc.

Those laptop will probably be bought buy companies to give their “data scientist” nice toy to play with.

I’m not gonna continue that cyclical dialogue any longer.

There is no factual number of shares distribution amongst employee. My assumption is that as any large corporation a few makes bank and many get the crumbs and it’s as good as any.

I’m sure employees are more motivated once they own stock but that’s a process you also find in other companies structure and it’s probably a well documented incentive. However, HR is not a topic I’ve interested in.

Have a nice day.

Vpn service are just encrypted proxies with extras.

It has a lot of purpose but those are pretty niches compared to the marketing deployed. Afaik most people just use them for torrents.

Btw some vpn provider offers proxies as well.

Also you don’t have to deploy wireguard or openvpn on a server by yourself. There are collective that does it.

To summarize what you took the time to copy/paste :

  • employees own the company
  • one shares = one vote
  • shares purchase has rules

What I’m interested in, and that I cannot find online is: “how are those shares distributed amongst employee”. I know, I sound like a broken record at this point, but so do you by missing my point entirely.

That question translate to : does 1 employees own 51% of the shares, does each employees own 0.0007% of shares or something in between.

Your title assumed an even distribution ( one employee has 0.0007% of the total shares) . Without more information that is completely misleading1

Do you understand my reasoning? Or am I trolling you too hard? I would be happy to go over some terms/sentences if they are not clear. Unfortunately I’m not an native english speaker and I sometime I communicate imperfectly.

  1. yes the first document you linked refute the 1 persons own 51% of the shares. Nonetheless, that doesn’t invalidate a scenario where an organized minority owns 75% of the shares removing control of the company from the hands of the workers

Physical therapy.

I had back pain following an accident, correcting my posture removed the pain. The therapist will design exercise based on your “profile” and needs.

Also having someone with some sort of authority telling you what to do helps to stay on tracks (plus you pay for it).

Which obviously provides a rough idea of the distribution. how so ?

Oh I did, it’s hilarious.

Glad you’re having fun, I have fun too.

I responded with a relevant paper that you literally quoted rough distributions from.

The paper doesn’t provide the shares distribution amongst the worker. It provides shares distribution amongst categories of worker.

The fact that refusing to understand the difference between average and median is the hill you chose to die on is absolutely hilarious.

Please read my last comment in his entirety.

My first comment pointed out that an average like “$75k each” without distribution parameters is useless. You responded with a non-relevant paper.

  1. By including that average in your title you chose to represent that information in a specific way. That way is misleading.
  2. By citing a source with not relevance to the question you make it seems like there is support for your representation.

What you’re doing is spreading missinformation.

by the way :

  1. on the one hand you assume that people cannot divide number, on the other hand you assume that people knows the difference between median and average.
  2. an average is often used in the common language as a substitute for the geometric mean but also the median. Learn your stat : the meme is “mean and median”. I invite you to read the first § here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Average . Or is wikipedia too biased for your taste?

I’m running my x220 with 4+8 (12gb) and there is no issues :)

I rarely require more than 8gb but sometime do memory intensive job and it’s stable, the CPU is more of a bottleneck.

Iirc it’s possible to run 2x16gb but there is some BIOS trickery involved.
