The war is lost for Ukraine because every single tactical encounter is brutally stacked against them.
They did competently score armor kills in the early stage of the war when Russia was mostly concerned with covering as much ground as possible. A moving army is vulnerable to ATGM ambushes and artillery kill zones. But now Russian strategy is completely different, it’s one positional battle after another relying on sheer fire power. Ukraine has withdrawn all its remaining armor and artillery to population centers and its poorly equipped and poorly coordinated army is just holding fortified positions waiting to be annihilated. Their attempts to ambush Russian forces are thwarted by drone vigilance and routinely fall to counter-attacks.
The wisest thing Ukraine could do is abandon Washington’s deluded scheme of using the war to “weaken Russia” and instead sue for peace for the sake of its people. They’re not going to be able to weaken Russia even with all the western weapons and mercenaries they’re getting, and worse still, since both the military and economic wars against Russia have essentially failed NATO is likely to resort to unpredictable and poorly planned acts of escalation to try to get the upper hand, and that’s not a scenario in the middle of which the country wants to be stuck.
The wisest thing they could do is get the USSR back together. Ditching Washington and suing for peace is also a smart option, but not the one that will lead to the best possibly outcome for the Ukrainian people.
An even smarter option would be to revive the warsaw pact, and have the party purged of all reactionaries. Marxism Leninism leads the east once more!
Putin want’s to dismantle Ukraine and destroy Ukrainian identity, as stated in articles published by Kremlin over the past few months. For Ukrainians there can be no negotiated peace as long as what follows is murder, rape, pillaging and enslavement Golden Horde style.

Do you know that Zelenskyj has ordered the ukronazis to remove their weapons for years, but they didnt listen to him? Here is a leaked video from a meeting he had with them in ~2019. Starts at 14min 44sec. The video also continue with how Zelenskyj eventually came to support the war.
Zelenskyj was pretty much forced to merge Azov and Aidar with the official military, the Ukranian national guard after the Maidan because of their participation in it, but they always hated him. They did not listen to orders from Zelenskyj to stop shelling Donbas, they just intensified it.

Azov and Aidar are more than just a few nazis. Ukraine are the only official military in the world to have openly fascist and neo-nazi battalions like them, and they count in thousands. You also have groups like right sector etc that are huge.

The first image breaks it down into deaths, injuries, and captures. The second image is only about military equipment. And tanks and planes don’t die per se, so I think it’s all pretty unambiguous.
Sry, non native english speaker here. What is the difference? Tried googling but not sure. ‘Casualty’ in this sense is when someone/something killed them and ‘deaths’ would be if they died from like an illness or heart attack?
‘Casualty’: a person who is hurt or killed during an accident, war, etc.
‘Deaths’: the action or fact of dying or being killed; the end of the life of a person or organism.
A casualty is defined as any injury, regardless of severity, that makes a soldier unable to fight.
Technically speaking, if a person stubbed their toe hard enough and they lose their ability to walk for a while, they’d be considered a casualty.
I believe casualty refers to anyone injured enough in combat to not be sent back effectively killing them. While death refers to well yk being unalived. However, I could be wrong.
