I’ve tried Voice Recorder from F-droid, but for some reason it isn’t working. I’ve recently changed the operating system from MIUI 12 to Lineage OS, so I don’t know if FOSS software may have issues recording audio.
Lineage should come with a audio and screen recorder app built in, named “Recorder”. Beware, though, that its name gets translated if you change the system’s language.
Hmm. Voice recording works perfectly well for me. It definitely should work. May be worth troubleshooting?
I fixed it with by using a different app.
Dimowner/AudioRecorder worked fine.

I found it lacking at best. I didn’t even see the option to change the bitrate before recording.
Yeah, it is indeed very simple.
On my phone I have the same thing, Just open up the app info through long press or the settings app and check your permissions.
Did you give it microphone privileges?
