I really wonder what on earth the EU wants to get out of this
So hear me out here with my massive tinfoil hat. I think the oligarchy is in the process of getting all their affairs in order so they can hide away in their various safe havens around the globe and then kick off nuclear war to wipe the rest of us out. All this inflation shit is just them sucking up the last bit of resources they can before taking off.
Are there a lot of holes in this idea? Yes. Is it completely unreasonable to believe the richest human on earth would gladly kick off a nuclear Holocaust in order to eliminate most of humanity and the rule over what’s left? I personally don’t think so.
So I think all this goading and poking is all just means to get Russia to be the ultimate bad guy so what little of humanity is left has a bad guy to point at. Again I know how insane this sounds but it’s like the only thing I can think of as to why so many countries are just being bat shit insane right now.
They just want to sever ties between Russia and Germany + France and colonize Ukraine, if Russia breaks itself in reaction that’s a lovely bonus. The US will do everything to prevent Russia integrating into Europe, so Ukraine will take that fall for them.
That’s honestly one of the most concrete conclusions I can come to right now. Adding Ukraine to the EU can be because of a few things:

Long term has never been one of their strong suits. Probably a “now we finally own everything and can divy up the remains.” I see a lot of these “people” being those neolib types that think the only way to save the earth is to kill most of the humans. Like how there’s legit people that think the Thanos snap thing was a good idea. Except in this case they are controlling who gets killed off. “All the poors.”

Its not just Latin america, hardcore westerners hate all latins, Portuguese, Spanish and italians included. i dont know where or when this despise against latins in general was born in the west, i think it is just anglo and franco supremacy bullshit (although france also gets ridicularized a lot, and so do british anglos and Australians. Its like an toxic rich kids club with the US at the top, where they bully the poor kids, but from time to time the boss rich kid also makes fun of his own “friends” because they speak funny, or because they are not as rich as him, its an toxic relationship), america broke Europe brain.
Because even without a war there is no way Ukraine would have gotten in with their corruption and far-right extremism. But now they’re also at war.
Doesn’t Poland have similar problems? I don’t think the EU cares all that much about corruption
Most EU countries have corruption but the further West you go the more you call it lobbying and consultancy. But for some reason Ukraine’s corruption has always been a big highlight in their EU acceptance journey.
Oh, of course, they’re all corrupt, it’s just more openly visible in Poland, AFAICT. For Ukraine, most people seem to have forgotten about the corruption, and they seem to be unaware of Zelensky’s presence in the Pandora Papers
