A China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737-800 with 132 people on board crashed in mountains in southern China on Monday after a sudden plunge from cruising altitude at about the time when it would normally start to descend ahead of its landing.
I get the sentiment, but apparently this particular model is absurdly popular. Of all passenger planes in the world, 17% are Boeing 737-800’s. Crash a random plane and it has a good chance of being a Boeing 737-800.
The sentiment comes from reading about how Boeing managers made a callous decision to push out 737 max despite the protests of engineers who knew these things were flying coffins. It’s a window into how decisions are made in these companies.
Boing has a strange tendency to do boing lately
Boeing is not safe.
This one is really strange… apparently there is a video of it crashing almost vertically in a strait line down.
Would never fly on anything Boeing makes at this point. It still amazes me that nobody went to jail over 737 max.

I call BS on this. The Max crashes had nothing to do with negligence, and Airbus planes seems to be doing fine with the same “negligent” people.

Is anyone trying to place blame on the Chinese government? I haven’t seen any so far.
