So, my PC is built with RST literally unable to be disabled. (I’ve tried, trust me. I’ve followed every tutorial online and reply on my help posts to no avail. I’m pretty sure it’s impossible.) I currently don’t have the funds, nor any reason, to buy a new PC. It still works just fine, but Windows is becoming increasingly pushy about switching to 11. I really wanted to switch to Mint, but seeing as how it’s apparently impossible, I’m not sure what to do.
Is there anything that can be done physically inside the PC to fix the “untouchable RST” issue? I’m not a massive techie, and I’m worried about ruining my PC since, like I said before, I don’t have the money to get a new one, but if there’s a fairly safe/easy way to fix this, if any way exists at all, does anybody know?
Apologies for my ignorance. I’d like to learn more about PCs and Linux, too, so I’m hoping this will explain things as well, even if I don’t fully grasp it yet.

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word “Linux” in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.
