Well the massive shelling of residential areas of Donetsk could provide the perfect way out for them, but I’m not holding my breath
Russians will probably be accused of killing the civilians in Donetsk.
Already happening
That would go completely counter to the narrative they’ve been building for the past few months, so that’s highly unlikely. Thing is that they really don’t have a good off ramp now. It’s going to be very hard to paint it as anything other than total victory by Russia, and on top of that Russia is also winning the economic war. It’s pretty hard to turn this into any sort of win for NATO.
Zelensky claims Ukrainians have killed more than 30.000. Russian troops, so the Western media will probably try to claim that the Russians won but at a heavy price.
That’s pretty much the only angle they have, but once the hot war is over then all the focus will be on the economic war and things are looking increasingly desperate for the west there. What basically happened is that Russia taught the west an object lesson regarding the balance of power. There is no longer any doubt regarding who has the stronger army or a stronger economy. Russia will be dictating how things are going to be developing in Europe going forward.
Front page news right now is that Zelensky is scared that the West is “losing interest” in the war. What a fucking scumbag, we give him 10s of billions of dollars in military equipment and aid, let him appear at colleges and fucking award shows just to talk bout how important the war is, give him a platform to talk about mass shootings in America as if that’s any of his concern and he has the audacity to get mad that Ukraine isn’t the only thing in the news anymore.
I fully expect Ukraine to start launching missiles at Moscow to try and get the US invovled, because Zelensky and his Nazi pals are clearly desperate for the West to intervene. Granted we did create the situation but Z-man is an adult and can’t blame us for everything.
No missile that Ukraine can launch stands a chance of reaching Moscow. It would get shot down way before it even got close. But he can try. Only he better be prepared for Russia to retaliate in ways that they have so far refrained from out of restraint and respect for international norms.
Woody should be only Zelensky, and he should be letting go of another, even smaller Woody labelled “the Ukrainians”
