According to Wikipedia, which is not the best source I know, roughly 50-60 Russian aircrafts were destroyed. This is information from the Russian Air Force it seems. Not even half of these were shot down before the 13th of March, the supposed date he died.
This man single handedly shot down 80% of all Russian aircraft losses. Not only that, he did this from the after life as well.
Truly one of the greatest pilots to ever live.
Multiple newsoutlets in different languages seem to run with the 40 number. It is not that hard to actually check if this is true. Even 6 kills is impressive for an airforce pilot. 40 is just impossible. Why not just say 6 and make it at least believable? Why just fucking lie and do it this badly too?
Might be because it catches the eye like a ‘superhero’ and the Marvel loving liberals would eat that right up…
