*NATO has warned that the current conflict in Ukraine, where Russia has been conducting a special military operation, could turn into an unrestrained battle between the Western military alliance and Moscow. NATO's Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg sounded the alarm during a press conference in Madrid on Thursday following a summit featuring the alliance's heads of state and government.* *"We live in a more dangerous world. And we live in a more unpredictable world. And we live in a world where we have actually a hot war going on in Europe, with large-scale military operations we haven't seen in Europe since the Second World War. This can get worse and turn into a full-scale war between Russia and NATO," he warned. He said NATO had already significantly increased its presence on its eastern flank by deploying more than 40,000 troops there. The military buildup, he said, was meant "to remove any room for miscalculation, misunderstanding in Moscow about our readiness to protect every inch of NATO territory."* And whose fault would that be, Jens? Surely not the side that's arming the aggressor (the Ukraine), extensively rearming member states and deploying troops, adding Sweden and Finland to the alliance and possibly will put bases there...no, definitely not. I'd call him dim, but I think he knows exactly what he's doing.

Interesting line I noticed

trading the soil for the lives of our people

This shows lack of awareness. If he and every other Ukrainian nationalist didn’t act so fanatical about keeping their land, then most of the dead Ukrainians would be alive. Russia never intended on taking any land until they realized they had to do it the hard way. Zelenskky provoked everyone to fight. He had the power to tell everyone to stand down and cede to Russia’s demands.

They kept saying Putin miscalcuated in like the first month or so. Things can still change, but I think he’s proven himself to be a master calculator.

leaning much more for NATO and friends than RU at this point in time

Yeah it’s worthwhile to note that the Ukraine has essentially become a neo-colony for NATO (mainly the US). Afaik, for most of the aid they’re receiving, they’re expected to pay interest on it. The West doesn’t want to lose out on that money. I’m sure rebuilding the country would involve loans with interest as well.

trying to condense all of that into an argument when I will be proven correct or incorrect in a few months is a waste of time I think

Well I liked reading it at least. Always like different analyses and predictions.

Well here’s some examples

Korea - was losing very badly at first, got pushed all the way to the southernmost point

Vietnam - never quite got a good foothold in the 7 or so years they were there. Wasted countless artillery and air strikes on trying to bomb VC bunkers and trenches, but were ineffective probably 90% of the time. Also was too cowardly to invade the north, when I think it’s likely that China wouldn’t have escalated.

Afghanistan - spent 20 years, got nothing productive done, the liberal govt installed was a failure, no one cared about it, everything was completely pointless in the end.

If this is in response to the two amerikan soldiers that got captured by Russia (and the one that died), then that would be very funny.

Desperate to not make it look like amerikan soldiers suck (which they do a lot of the time…they continually lose over and over even though they like to spin it otherwise).

*Andy Win, a mercenary from the United States, said that he went to fight because of propaganda in Western media: "Initially, when the conflict began, on February 24, I saw a lot of news... Again, now I think it was propaganda from the West — not just America, but the West as a whole. [Western media] reported that Russian forces indiscriminately kill civilians. During my travels, I have not observed this."* Also, he said the Russians keeping him treated him well. Contrast that with the Ukrainians who have tortured and killed Russian POWs.

“There was no security,” Nettles says. “We should have all been slaughtered, because no one had guns on the wood-line, and most everyone was being extremely loud, and we were very close to the burning vehicle right next to the Russian position. If the Russians had any tactical competence or courage at all, they would have sent a forward observation team, who would have seen our group with no weapons up, carrying a stretcher, and killed us all.”

Keep taking that copium

I myself don’t know. I would like to know as well.

My guess is that I think Russians are called orcs by Ukrainians, and orcs are green, so it would represent that.

There's another image compiling instances of this in one of the replies: https://nitter.net/MaxBlumenthal/status/1537823166491508737#m Zelenskky doesn't care about his citizens unless if they're nazis.

The confluence of the two bug me to no end. It’s such an insult to the lgbt community.

Because I think it’s not a very good religion. Better than the abrahamic ones I suppose, but it leads people down to lives that I don’t think are positive development.

Also, the way it was implemented felt very forced. Didn’t feel natural. Just felt like a promotion for the religion.

It did lead her to eventually feal inner peace though, so that’s nice.

I agree. It’s potentially very destructive. I don’t know if you ever watched this film called Heaven & Earth, but it’s about a Vietnamese women marrying a US soldier, moving to the US with him, and having children. He seemed nice at first, but then he starts getting abusive, and threatens to kill her. And he also admits to her that he was a Black Ops soldier who tortured Viet Cong.

Based on an actual Vietnamese woman too! Main issue I have with it is that it has Buddhist stuff in it, since the writer/director Oliver Stone is a buddhist himself. But besides that, it’s pretty good.

I know they technically meant well, but it was for all the wrong reasons.

Yep. I can’t stand those people. Also, I think the Southern mothers who gave up their children to US soldiers are absolutely reprehensible.

Based on his family name, Andy seems to be ethnically Vietnamese.

Shame on him. But I’m sure his family were one of the ones who left during Saigon’s liberation.

I hope the US doesn’t eventually send Tomahawks. You know Ukraine will be cheeky with them.

Zelenskky said his dream is to retake Crimea after retaking everything else. That would an extremely bloody conflict. At the very least, settle that Crimea will always be Russian from now on. But no, he’s surrounded by a bunch of rabid dogs who just want endless war with Russia.

Not at all surprising, if it’s true. These “people” are the worst.
