I have created two specific mental health communities, one for positive and/or constructive discussion of mental health and wellness, and one to provide an outlet for people’s unpleasant/destructive thoughts (sometimes voicing them will help temporarily quiet them if you are in acute distress).

Mental Health | Void Screaming

They won’t cure you, but social support is an integral part of a well rounded mental-health treatment and wellness plan, and you deserve to have access to them in a federated/decentralized and non-monetized space.

Cheers!

That sounds like a problematic issue, reddit already has a problem with communities for support where "ppl who suck at X give advice to other people who suck at X). These types of communities might reinforce unhealthy attitudes, I suggest you at least link to sources that have at least trained volunteers (my country have those, and the US probably also has it), maybe also links to other resources like free online CBT/ACT therapy resources or books.

A community dedicated to fediverse news and discussion.

Fediverse is a portmanteau of “federation” and “universe”. It is a common, informal name for a federation of social network servers whose main purpose is microblogging, the sharing of short, public messages.
