But in general I am always skeptical about software that advertises itself as “Based in Luxembourg (Germany, …), secure by design”. As if the country in which a software is developed has any influence on how secure a software is. 🤷
I see it similar like you, but some countries or better some people from other countries associate - made in Germany as quality indicator. It is not anymore like it was but especially Chinese value this because they know that the product might be good.
