"We in the U.S. are not prepared," Rachel Bean, a 34-year-old based out of Minneapolis who suffers from long COVID, told Yahoo Finance.

It hurts to read this but what hurts more is that all this is not a result of the virus but of the society that decided to not work towards solidarity and choose instead individualism and the rule of “if I’m fine, screw the others”. The worst has yet to come ,and it will be bad. Because as long COVID settles and impairs people, they will be forced to cash their savings to pay for medical bills. Leaving millions of people in poverty.

This was bound to happen, COVID was just the catalyst.

This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.

Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.
