I’m gonna be honest, I may know how to manage Linux, servers, and the like, but I don’t know shit about coding actual applications. But that doesn’t mean I still don’t benefit from Linux’s open source nature. When an application doesn’t work, or I feel the need to change something, there’s always someone smarter than me who has a patch or a change that I can use.
He literally lied about pacman and then got mad that his system didn’t tell him he was using the wrong package manager. His first video was pretty alright, but every video after that it seems like he just has an unneeded hate boner for Linux and completely dismisses Luke who is having a great time with Linux.
It forgets that for beginners, the distro and the desktop may be one in the same. A beginner isn’t going to install a distro and manually install a new desktop. It makes more sense to reccomend a distro with the best implementation of whatever desktop would be best for them, like Fedora GNOME, Linux Mint, or Xubuntu.
They’re slow, and I don’t need them.
